Just a quick update before I dash to serve up dinner. My mermaid painting from this sketch last week which I did some more of during the week and today.
And I must dash. Thoroughly enjoying this and all the other sketches over at Sunday Sketches. Don’t forget to drop by.
And as always, check out the fantab work going on at Creative Everyday.
Best wishes,
Liz

oooh, yes, loving the texture…and i do love the colors and how you did the tail!
Thanks 😀 The tail was amazingly easy. The texture I put down beforehand did all the work. I was really happy how easily it worked…after all I hate painting scales 😀
Thanks for dropping by.

I have to say that I’m thoroughly enjoying painting this. I’ve always been a fantasy fan, but I’ve never painted anything like this before.

I AM LOVING all that texture. We did a project in my 5th grade art class using tempura paint mixed with flower to give it texture. I didn’t do a very good job but some of my students were really embracing the medium. Like you! Awesome!!
