The explosions rocked the village. Screams and cries replaced the laughter. The high pitched voices of children panicking, their parent’s desperate calls. He should have been use to this by now. It shouldn't have hurt him the way it did. He should have been able to watch the consequences of his cations without qualms. They were the enemy - he should be able to forget. He watched as they ran, as the flames and terror caught them. As the fire fell on the children He watched as they died. The night split apart and he followed it down into hell. **********
