Society for the Growing of Australian Native Plants (Now Australian Plants) was a group I belonged to a few years back. They had a newsletter that, me being me, I decided to devote some artwork to. Unfortunately the editors at the time were scientists not artists and required all front page pictures to be to scale. Scale has never been in my vocabulary as it requires me to be far too accurate and mathematical for my liking, and besides I'm not sure I could pull it off. Itried any how on three occasions with not much success. The first two were refused being not to scale enough, the last one was grudgingly accepted (and they took my original and lost it).

In order left to right- Prickly Tea Tree, Running Postman, and finally, Sturt's Desert Pea.

Several years later new editors did use one of the above after my mother-in-law resubmitted one, they weren't as particular.
