Editorial

by Editor, Mark Powley

Welcome to the November edition of the SAPMAIL.

This year's S.A. Scale Model Expo has come and gone. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. I managed to control myself and not abuse my wallet too badly at the traders stands, though I must admit it took nerves of steel. So many kits, so little time. A couple of things about the Expo leaped out at me this year. First was the amazing number of figures entered - 40 in all. As one of the four judges in the category all I can say is, "Aye carumba!". Secondly is that fewer cars seemed to be entered this year compared to last year. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd like to welcome Alex Thomas and Harald Christ as two new SAPMAIL contributors with their two model show articles this month. This issue of the SAPMAIL is the final one for this year so I'll take this opportunity to thank all of those good folk who've supplied articles and pictures for both the newsletter and the SAPMA website. Thanks guys!

Till next month.....happy modelling.

Want to submit an Article?

So you want to submit an article, ad in the Classifieds or an item for the Bulletin Board? They can be submitted on disc as a Word or Text file. Hand or type written articles are no problem. Email submissions are also not a problem. If you have any questions call me on 8374 2743 or email : mgp@ihug.com.au

You don't need to be Bryce Courtney to submit an article. If you've just finished building a kit then jot down some notes about it ie parts fit, ease of construction, decal quality and so on.

Equally as good are In-Box Reviews. If you've just bought a kit or aftermarket item then feel free to share your thoughts on it.

General types of articles, some interesting information about a plane or tank or car you'd like to share, your favourite websites and so on will also be cheerfully accepted. Don't be afraid! I promise not to laugh at you. Honest!
