Advance Notice: Swap & Sell Meet - Tuesday August 20
SAPMA will hold a Swap meet at our August meeting. Bring along your surplus kits, accessories, decals and wallet. Sellers are limited to 2 tables with set-up at 7:15 pm for a 7:30 pm start.

2002 S.A. Scale Model Expo
This years Expo will be held on the weekend of October 26-27.
The Armour SIG display theme for 2002 will be : "Warfare in the East" This can include armour produced by any countries of eastern Europe and beyond. This can include China, Japan, Australia, NZ, Korea and Vietnam (a few US vehicles from these theatres would be OK). Once again a good showing of figures (any era) from these areas would be welcomed. Remember display items are FREE to enter. See Clive Paling for details.
The theme display for the Aircraft SIG will be : "The F-4 Phantom" All air forces, all countries, all scales as long as they flew the F-4 Phantom. See John Kerr or Graeme Bawhey for details.
The Auto theme display will be "Dragsters and Street Machines"
So if you have models that fit into these themes (and that shouldn't be too hard!) please bring them along to the Expo and give us, and the general public, a chance to see them.

Annual Membership Fees
Membership Fees are due by the March meeting. The fees are $30 for Adults and $15 for Juniors (under 15 years).

With all of the excitement of last month's Swap Meet I seem to have missed getting the results from Peter. Oh well, I'll get them next month.

Editorial

by Editor, Mark Powley

Welcome to the April edition of the SAPMAIL.

This month we have a couple of items I picked up on the Hyperscale Discussion Board. I'll remind the club members that the success of the Sapmail rests in the participation of ALL of you. No submissions equals no newsletter.

Till next month.....happy modelling.

Want to submit an Article?

So you want to submit an article, ad in the Classifieds or an item for the Bulletin Board? They can be submitted on disc as a Word or Text file. Hand or type written articles are no problem. Email submissions are also not a problem. If you have any questions call me on 8374 2743 or email : mgp@ihug.com.au

You don't need to be Bryce Courtney to submit an article. If you've just finished building a kit then jot down some notes about it ie parts fit, ease of construction, decal quality and so on.

Equally as good are In-Box Reviews. If you've just bought a kit or aftermarket item then feel free to share your thoughts on it.

General types of articles, some interesting information about a plane or tank or car you'd like to share, your favourite websites and so on will also be cheerfully accepted. Don't be afraid! I promise not to laugh at you. Honest!
