Revell 1/72. Cockpit and engines lit using DLM (Don's Light and Magic) Starfury lighting set. A great design from an even better show - pity the model is so mediocre. I won't go onto a rant here but suffice to say that this kit took about four years to build. Bursts of enthusiasm were followed by fits of annoyance and the kit went back to the cupboard. On the third attempt I finally plowed through all the hassles until I finished it. The DLM set comprises a cockpit insert moulded in clear orange resin and four engine cores in clear blue resin. Lighting comes from three red leds mounted behind the cockpit and with a blue led behind each engine core. The dreadful kit decals were replaced with numbers from a Letraset sheet with the artwork from a Verlinden Vietnam marking sheet.
