I had such fun turning Revell's 1/72 Marder into a hovertank for my Nutrockers on Patrol diorama, that I was inspired to do a larger version using Revell's 1/35 scale kit. I basically copied the modifications I made to the small Marder onto the larger version. The tops of the skirts were made round rather than flat and given a cast finish but otherwise the kit is largely out of the box. The only real changes I made were to the weapons. I envisaged this vehicle to be used in a high speed strike or armed recon role where the objective is to hit a target hard and get out fast. I took the opportunity to modify the kit weapons, add a machine gun to the Commander's hatch and gave the Driver his own grenade launcher as a field mod. You just can't have too many guns!
Overall the Revell kit is very impressive and it was great fun to give it a sci-fi twist.
